Biography

From Farmer to Jedi

Zalor Anneri grew up as a normal farmboy on the plains of Naboo. When he wasn't working on the farm, he would spend his time at the spaceport, buying things for his father's farm, and selling whatever produce he brought with him. Life couldn't be more simple for young Zalor - until Mandalorian raiders came one fateful day and burned down the entire farm, killing Zalor's parents, and his brother and sister. Zalor alone escaped, taking with him his grandfather, Barask Anneri's lightsaber. With nothing left but the saber and a few of his personal belongings, Zalor decided that the only thing he could do is go to Dantooine and become a Jedi, like his grandfather had before him. He got on board a refugee ship to Dantooine, and there he met Master Chris McDonald, and his girlfriend, the bounty hunter Shayda Fett. He became Chris's apprentice, and has since then had some wild adventures, including encounters with many Sith Lords.

The Chosen One

Somewhere along the way, however, clues started to surface that Zalor might be more than just another Padawan. The first being a cryptic holopad message left by his grandfather before he died, given to him by Dredge. The message reads:

Zalor....this....is your grandfather. Barask Anneri. If....if you ever find this holopad, please...listen to my words carefully. You.....are a special boy.....much more special than you or your parents may think......*the holopad is damaged and cuts out often* you.......................save the Jedi................the Chosen O.................take my lightsaber................bears the mark of the Anneri fam....................don't let anyone.....................................

Having shown it to his Master, Chris suspected that Zalor could be the next Chosen One, the one who could save the Jedi from destruction by the Sith. Keeping this in mind, Zalor has now set out on an adventure to find more clues from his past that may lead to his ultimate destiny.

Companions

Since his days as a Jedi, Zalor has run into many old friends he knew from his life on Naboo. One of them is a hot-shot, hot-headed yet kind-hearted frieghter pilot named Evan Azzameen. He and his droid, MK-09 work aboard Evan's YT-2000, the Otana, delivering shipments for his father's trading company. When the Sith begin purging the galaxy of the Jedi and old remnants of the Galactic Republic, Evan decides to accompany Zalor and protect him, allowing Zalor use of his personal transport to go wherever Zalor needs to go, and using his skills with a blaster to fight alongside his old friend.

They return to Naboo, where Zalor finds several clues that begin to confirm his Master's suspicions. Among the ruins of his old home on Naboo, he finds a previously hidden holopad containing data concering the legend of the Chosen One. He finds that his grandfather, Barask, was born of the Force, just as Anakin Skywalker was, and that someone of his bloodline would be the next Chosen, as he himself was ineligible for some unknown reason. He found that his grandfather's special lightsaber bore inside of it a Solari Crystal, a special crystal that only pure light-sided Jedi could use...and on top of that, one which bonded to the true Chosen One.

Also on Naboo, Zalor runs into another old friend, a young street girl, a Twi'lek girl named Asha Tailarani. She has been living on the streets as an orphaned pick-pocket for years, and Zalor, out of his kindness, was kind enough to let her have the pick of his and his father's crops to keep from starving. When they meet again on Naboo, Asha pleads for Zalor to let her come with them on their journey, appearing not to want to be on Naboo for much longer. Evan hesitantly agrees, and she joins up with them on the Otana.

While on the run from the Sith, the group at one point end up stranded on a remote, uninhabitated planet called Artria, a frozen wasteland similar to Hoth. There they meet another Jedi Padawan, a young Echani girl named Sayra Nur. Sayra has apprantly been using the planet as a hideout from the Sith, although instead she is chased there by Sith assassins, and is rescued by Zalor and friends. Grateful for Zalor's help, she decides to travel with them in order to hide from the Sith, who seem bent on killing her.

Zalor's Love Life

Through their travels back and forth across the galaxy, Sayra begins to become attached to the young Padawan from Naboo, which for awhile goes unnoticed by Zalor. But when the Sith attacks become more and more frequent, and Zalor is becoming more and more stressful, Sayra decides to take Zalor on a private vacation back to Zalor's home planet. It is there, in the peaceful and serene beauty of Naboo that Sayra opens up and reveals her feelings for Zalor. Zalor, hesitant to engage in any sort of relationship, knowing his role as the potential Chosen One of the Jedi, reluctantly decides to begin a relationship with Sayra, and now the two of them do everything together. Zalor finally realizes that perhaps his love for Sayra could be the key to unlocking his true potential as a Jedi.

Zulataan

Since his initial training with Chris on Dantooine, Zalor has come under attack by a mysterious figure called Zulataan...who seems to be connected with Zalor's grandfather. Zulataan seems to know a lot about Zalor and his destiny, and has since sent assassins and bounty hunters after Zalor to try and either eliminate him or turn him down the darkside. Although Zulataan remains a mystery to Zalor, Zalor is bound and determined to find out what and who he is, and what sort of threat he poses to the galaxy.

Negue Ragnos

A one time ally of Zalor, Negue Ragnos is the Emperor of ICOP, the Intergalactic Confederation of Planets. Zalor first met Negue on the planet Dantooine, during one of the many Sith invasions. For reasons unknown, Negue joined forces with the Jedi to repel the Sith invaders. After Zalor began his quest, Negue would sometimes appear and give aid to Zalor and his friends. After Negue's father, Feral Ragnos, returned, Negue swore allegiance to his father and began hunting down Zalor and his friends, using the vast resources at his command. This continued for several months, until one of Negue's closest friends, his Greater Krayt Dragon "Spike", was dying. Spike used his telepathic powers to summon Negue, Zalor and all of Zalor's friends to Tatooine. There, surrounded by his friends, Spike died. After Spike's death, Negue revealed to Zalor that he was leaving the known galaxy. The exact reason is unknown, but it is assumed that Negue was shaken by the death of his friend, and decided to go into self-exile. Just before disappearing for the last time, Negue informed his granddaughter, Tanara, that he was putting her in charge of ICOP. Shortly afterwards, back on Endor, Negue's apprentice informed Zalor that Negue had left a Sith Holocron on Clak'dor VII, the capital of Negue's Empire, for Zalor. The holocron holds everything Negue has learned and discovered since he was banished and cursed. Negue has not been heard from or seen since then. His fate is unknown.

Personality

Zalor is a very strong-willed, yet kind-hearted young man. He cares for everyone he comes in contact with. He has embraced the light side, and up to now, has shown great resilince to the lure of the dark side. Zalor hasn't seem to fully gotten control over his feelings, and is known to be quite stressful. Out of his stress, Zalor will sometimes have vivid nightmares and dreams, or else sometimes even, seemingly by accident, use Force Powers that many Jedi Knights haven't even mastered, hinting at the potential of his power. Zalor is also known to be somewhat clumsy from time to time, despite his Jedi training.
