History

Early Life

Reyn was born to Jayk and Liika Skirata on Shogun, around 4,025 BBY. He lived the typical mando life, his parents having a daughter, Jira, when he was 5. At age 15 he married Karta, in the mando way, and it was a life of small battles and glories won. At age 20 his son Skol was born, and Reyn set about raising him in the proper way. Two years later, Reyn earned the title of blademaster after slaying five Togorian warriors armed with sc'rath. In 3,997 BBY Reyn and Jira took part in the Basiliskan crusade, and in 3,996 BBY, when Mandalore the Indomitable decided to embark upon another crusade, one in which Reyn and Jira would also take part. They, along with other crusaders, participated in attacking Krath space. They were present at the plains of Harkul when Ulic Qel-Droma defeated Mandalore, and the might of the clans was given over.

Great Sith War and changing of times

Reyn and Jira participated in the assault on Foerost, and then afterward on Coruscant. Reyn and Jira were among the first wave on the ground. They fought side by side until they were seperated and Jira crossed blades with a jedi. Though Jira was skilled and fierce, the Jedi slew her, before Reyn could fight his way through to aid her. He arrived as she fell, and immediately challenged the jedi. Using his skills as a blademaster to vanquish the jedi in single combat. Reyn later participated in the attack on Kemplex IV. But it was over Onderon that his path would change forever.

Over Onderon Reyn fought alongside Mandalore, slaying many beast riders from the back of his basilisk. As the tide seemed to turn, a republic fleet arrived, and the Mandalorians were forced to retreat. Over Dxun, Reyn's basilisk was damaged, and he crashed into the tomb of Freedon Nadd and Amanoa. Climbing out of the wreckage, Reyn found himself caught in a force nexus, and blacked out.

Awakening in a new age

When Reyn awoke, the jungle had changed. He had to tear through foliage to reach the remains of his basilisk to retrieve his rifle. Among the ruins of the tomb he found a strange sword of beskar and cortosis. He set out and came upon a smuggling camp. Dispatching the smugglers with contemptible ease, he stole their ship, a HWK-290, that he renamed Kad b'Akaan, and used it to leave Dxun. From there he moved on, trying to learn about this new age.

The Csilla Incident

Reyn eventually was able to locate clan Skirata, though they were not what he expected. Still he fought alongside them. He was granted command of three squadrons of fighters by Talon Darknight, which he led into combat. The Mandalorian Forces were betrayed, and Talon killed, though clan Skirata was barely able to escape. Remembering his hatred of the jedi, Reyn swore to have vengeance. He has since taken part in several standoffs over contested worlds, swearing that though he has nothing he once had, he would still serve his people.

Battle in the Council and Holy Quest

Reyn was involved in the unfortunate fight that took place in the Council Chamber on Mandalore. This incident led to deep divides between certain mandalorian factions. Reyn, who had made a point of not killing any of the other mandos, was disgusted, and prayed to Kad Ha'rangir for guidance. Kad Ha'rangir answered, giving Reyn a vision of what he must do. Reyn then left on his holy quest, and has since only returned to mandalorian space in a mission of mercy for the family of Malice Hingang, who he rescued from a sith attack on Naboo.

Appearance

Reyn is a Taung, and stands about 7 feet tall and weighs about 325 pounds. He is broad in the shoulder and thick in the bicep, with yellow eyes that burn with a ferocity that belies his intelligence. He typically wears green crusader armor, with black trim and green cape. On the back of his cape is the emblem of the Mandalorian Crusaders, with a pair of crossed beskade transposed in the center, all done in black. Large ridges rise up from his pauldrons, and small spikes point outward from his gauntlets at the knuckle bones. His body bears many battle scars, though they are generally found under his armor.

Weapons and Equipment

Reyn carries several weapons, His favorite being a beskar hafted Mythosaur axe. He also carries a pair of beskade and a strange broad sword he found in the tomb he crashed in. For ranged work he carries a mandalorian assault rifle. His armor is standard beskar'gam, in green and black.

Personality and Traits

Reyn is very proud and warlike, but at the same time very kind and sweet to those he cares about. He, in true mandalorian fashion, is obsessed with honor and with family. He is very skilled in melee, and doesn't care for fighting at range. He is also very pious, devoted to Kad Ha'rangir, the god of destruction. He has adopted his new clansmen as brothers, but is especially fond of Shiarael, who he sees as his own sister given human form, often referring to her as Shiar'ika and vod'ika. When she married Rhitta, he gave her the blademaster amulet that his wife and sister made for him. He is unquestionably devoted to the principles of mandokar. He is also filled with sadness over the loss of his son and wife, who he believes he failed by outliving. He is good humored for the most part, and fond, perhaps too fond, of tihaar. He also has a raging sweet tooth, being fond of ne'tra gal and uj'alayi for breakfast.
