By appearance, the Holoscreen is a rough dome of lens, antennae, & projectors roughly half a meter high & a one meter diameter footprint. Functionally, it has one purpose: to project ultra-realistic holograms within a range of 20 meters. While the Holoscreen needs a high-resolution scan of the object or objects to be projected, MandalMine Collective maintains an extensive database of subjects. The projected holograms are visually indistinguishable from the original subject. This means that if you scanned a statue, then projected several copies of it nearby, the only way a passerby would be able to identify the 'real' statue would be by touch. The projected holograms can by either static or dynamic. For example a simple durasteel wall, or ten grazing nerfs that wander around inside the field right down to hair being ruffled by the 'wind'.
